A Fishery that has recently come into it's own on Saginaw Bay is the night time trolling bite for walleye. The Techniques and methods used are indeed unique. Using in-line planner boards with blinking red lights on their flags has a charm all it's own. Having a life time of knowledge of the inner Bay and it's hidden pitfalls will guarantee us a safe trip out and in.

This picture to the right is of me holding a 12.2 pound walleye caught on the Saginaw River while fishing at night. These night time river charters happen in the fall versus the spring and are a "hands-on" casting/retrieving technique.

The boat I use for the night bite is my 18 foot Smokercraft River Sled. So, for safety and comfort sake, I will only take up to two people at a time. Also, these trips will only be 5 hours and priced the same as my 7 hour trip on the rivers. There is a window of opportunity when this fishery is best. This Spring night time fishery usually starts in early April and runs through mid to late May depending on weather conditions.
